Pencils 2 Pixels

This is our comprehensive beginner course.

This training course will start with the basics, and build success upon success.  It will demystify and simplify complexity of computer functions.  Computer terms will be introduced at a functional level; executing tasks will be placed in the context of real life.  As each computer program is introduced, additional common Windows functions will be introduced, described, and practiced.  In order to increase comfort and familiarity, emphasis will be placed on this progressive learning, rather than focusing on each individual program.  Thus, when the students have completed the course, they will be able to perform basic functions in programs they have not previously used.  By the end of the class, the students will be able to find files on the computer, browse the internet, use email , and type basic Microsoft Word documents such as a resume and cover letter.

The Training Plan is modular in design.  Based on the skill level of the students, some elements can be excluded and others expanded, in order to maximize the learning experience.  Each lesson will include hands-on practice, and basic competency will be established for all students before moving on to the next element.  Pairing and team-building exercises will be used to ensure maximum benefit for all students.
